Bec’s Top 10 Chic Accessories to Transform Your Home
This year, along with many other projects, I’m embarking on another interior transformation. There are lots of hints and tips I’m learning along the way. Here are some for starters:
Start with Art
A statement artwork will set the tone and the colour palette for the entire room. It sets the scene, adds personality and helps everything flow from there and because art is the place to start, make sure you choose a piece you really love.
Soft furnishings like rugs, cushions and throws make spaces come alive. Opt for neutral toned furniture and use soft furnishings to make your place pop. Colours are important but think about textures too, like chunky rugs and throws or smooth velvet cushions that will give you that instant luxe feel.
Creating styled vignettes for your tables or shelves is simple. Start with a tray, and then layer with items like a candle, a vase of flowers and your favourite ceramics.
More M & Ms
When it comes to home wares, we can’t get enough M & Ms - marble and metallic, that is. In the bathroom, add some bling with shimmering metallic towels. And marble accessories, like vases, trays and bowls add style to any corner of your house. Leather trim is the final piece in this homeware holy trinity.
I do love a good homeware, but I’ve got plenty of other tips to share. Subscribe to Super Savvy Me or check back in again soon so you don’t miss out.
